Abstract
In the following chronicle, we delve into the novel La caída de Madrid (2000) by Rafael Chirbes, with the intention of fostering a critical spirit in our students regarding the view of Spain at different key moments in its history. Through the fictional character and their respective ideologies and social classes, we immerse ourselves in a historical, social, and political picture of a Spain on the verge of experiencing the democratic transition.
