Our investigation of the term “Wesh” explores its political connotations, historical evolution, and diverse usage in everyday conversations, uncovering social barriers linked to its origins, patterns, and interpretations. Utilizing a comprehensive collection of scholarly sources, our methodology enriches our understanding of this linguistic phenomenon, raising reflections on the incorporation of “Wesh” into French as a foreign language courses and its implications for teaching slang.
