Farooq Ahmad is Assistant professor of Finance. He completed his PhD jointly from SKEMA Business School and University of Lille 2 in France.
Before joining IÉSEG, Farooq was visiting PhD Scholar at Foster School of Business, University of Washington, United States. He completed his Ms in Business Administration from IAE de Lyon in France and MBA from International Islamic University, Islamabad in Pakistan. He has professional experience of 4 years in Internal Audit department of a leading bank in Pakistan. Farooq’s research interests are in the area of corporate finance, corporate governance and behavioral finance. He studies the relations between institutions and corporate investment and financial policies. He is particularly interested in the effects of culture (both, corporate and national) and labor market institutions on international mergers and acquisitions activity and firms’ financial policies. He further explores spillover effects of global trade networks. He has presented his work in major finance conferences including SFS Cavalcade, CICF and NFA.
