Astrid SALZMANN is an Associate Professor in Finance. She is originally from Germany where she obtained her PhD from RWTH Aachen University. Her research analyzes how culture affects financial decision-making around the globe.
Astrid’s research focuses on how cultural values shape individual and corporate financial decisions. Her research projects generally integrate theories and methods from finance, management, sociology and related areas to enhance our understanding of decision-making in the real world. Her research has been published in numerous scholarly journals including International Business Review, Journal of Banking and Finance, and Journal of Business Ethics. She is Associate Editor of Research in International Business and Finance and Journal of Behavioral and Experimental Finance. Before joining IÉSEG, Astrid was Assistant Professor at the RWTH Aachen University in Germany. She also held visiting positions in Singapore and Oman.
